On October 16th 2009 the St. Louis Sail and Power Squadron held it's October General Membership Meeting and Annual Auction at the Duck Club Yacht Club. Twenty five people gathered for this event. This included new members Sue and Chuck Kraeger who transfered to us from Singing River Sail and Power Squadron part of District 15 in Mississippi. We gathered at 6:00 PM for cocktails and socializing. The Silect Auction items were all set up in the other room and people migrated that way when they showed up and started their bidding war. We all then went back to the main dining room and conducted a brief general membership meeting. A terrific diner was served to us by the Duck Club staff. The auction was wrapped up and money collected. A slide presentation was given of the District 30 Cruise and Rendezvous in Frisco, Colorado. Those that were present that also attended the C&R gave their commentary on the event. Activities wrapped up about 10:00 PM and everyone retreated to their cars for their trips home. All in all a pretty good turnout with folks cathing up on what is going on in each others lives.
