How’s your love life going…with your boat that is?
Have you had any misgivings about how you prepared your boat last fall for the winter season?

Do you know what condition your boat and it’s safety equipment is in right now?

If your boat could talk, would it praise you for you being well prepared or curse you for being so negligent in your preparation for the season?

Vessel safety checks give you the chance to get re-acquainted with your boat and it’s safety equipment.

That’s a lot of boating love affairs.

The best time for a Vessel Safety Check is in early spring at commissioning time. But you can have one done at any time. Often we set up at marinas and you can have one done before you take your boat out for the day.

If you see our sign, you know we're in the area doing vessel checks.

We can do just one boat. Just call and ask.

We can do a fleet of boats! We just need to know in advance to staff enough examiners.

St. Louis Sail & Power Squadron has five Vessel Safety Examiners with boats moored at the following locations.

Vessel Safety Check

It doesn't matter whether it's the start of boating season or you're getting ready to wrap up your boating season, it is always the right time to receive a free Vessel Safety Check. By knowing your boat is being operated with the proper safety equipment on board enables you to boat in a happier more confident manner with piece of mind. The safety of your family and friends is at stake, so make sure you are always "good to go" by signing up for a Vessel Safety Check. You're boat doesn't even have to be in the water. We can perform a Safety Check with it on the trailer.
